A Warm Welcome from the Headteacher:

Welcome to St. Joseph’s. Our school is a small and friendly Catholic school in Brindle, Hoghton, on the outskirts of Bamber Bridge, near to Preston, Blackburn and Chorley.

Here at St. Joseph’s we are an inclusive school and welcome all children and their families. As a Catholic school we welcome families of all faiths, as well as those with none. We recognise that it is our similarities and not our differences that unite us together.
As a small, friendly school, we take pride in knowing each and every one of you extremely well and recognise the huge importance that the school and parent partnership has in allowing children to strive

We can promise that each and every child will be loved and cared for and pushed, to share and develop their talents and reach their full potential.

We have very close links with our parish and Fr. Raphael, who is often in school, celebrating Mass and spending time with our children.

We follow a robust curriculum, with reading and communication being the pinnacle of essential skills to embed and strengthen learning. We pride ourselves in challenging maths that encourages children to follow a ‘never give up’ and ‘everyone will get there’ approach to their learning!  Above all, we encourage children to be risk takers, to explore, to challenge themselves and to achieve things they didn’t know they were capable of. We want them to nurture talents they didn’t know they had and enjoy the outdoors and help look after this beautiful world God has given us…. We are very excited to be a Forest School and take every opportunity to make use of this fabulous resource.

We are proud of our school and our wonderful school community and especially all of our amazing children.

We hope you find what you are looking for on our website. Please do not hesitate to get in touch via the school email:  [email protected] or by telephoning 01254 853473 if you need any further information, or have any questions. If you would like a paper copy of any document on the school website, they can be requested free of charge from the school office.

Warmest wishes,

Miss Danielle C Dewhurst
